We’ve just returned from Villa Angel and can’t praise it highly enough. The property is furnished to a very high standard, and there is nothing much you need to take to have a great time other than yourself, your books, ipod, and some sunscreen to properly enjoy the beautiful weather by the pool. It is such a great place to relax in private, yet there are plenty of bars and restaurants just a short drive away. In Pinoso you have to try Oasis and La Tasca, and 20 minutes away is the spa town of Fortuna (visit the White House for the best Sunday lunch anywhere). Don’t leave without driving to the top of the nearby Sierra de la Pila, which has the most incredible views I’ve ever seen without hiking for miles first. If you are fed up of feeling like a battery hen in holiday hotels, then Villa El Angel is the place to head for. Relax and leave your worries (and the crowds) behind.
